About this Course
This MBA programme is designed for professionals who are seeking to improve their management and leadership skills and broaden their theoretical knowledge of business and management. Over the duration of 12 or 24 months, students will acquire a deep knowledge of all the key business functions.
Participants will gain a greater appreciation of the significance of the interrelationship of functional areas to the overall success of a business, in international, national and local markets. The course offers students the opportunity to study at a postgraduate level while maintaining and enhancing their contribution to their employer.
ARU London recognises that today business is conducted across international boundaries and that globalisation is a phenomenon that impacts all organisations. Therefore the focus of the course is on the specific challenges facing organisations that have global operations, or that transact business internationally.
The course will also support the development of a range of transferable executive skills including: leadership; strategic decision making; problem-solving; change management, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship; finance; operations management; information systems; marketing and human resource management.
Covering two themes, we’ll help you critically understand the practical tools, techniques, operations and processes involved in marketing. You’ll discover the marketing decisions on which effective marketing decisions and planning are based.
Leaders require a comprehensive understanding of how financial considerations can influence decisions this module explores the financial factor and the techniques that might assist informed management decisions. It is assumed that you will have already acquired a knowledge of financial vocabulary, the concepts behind basic financial terminology and the financial statements. You will advance these skills by considering the availability of financial information that may be relevant to decision making, how they contribute to arriving at an informed decision, a review of the type of decision and differing requirements, leading to a more bespoke deliverable information set that meets the context of the decision.
Here you will undertake a major project that focuses on your understanding and execution of entrepreneurial management in an area of specific interest to your or your organisation, such as:
- An applied or engaged research project
- An enterprise consultancy project
- Taking a new business proposition through to proof of concept
About Anglia Ruskin University
Anglia Ruskin University began as the Cambridge School of Art founded by William Beaumont. It was then merged with the Cambridgeshire College of Arts and Technology and the Essex Institute of Higher Education and was renamed Anglia Polytechnic. Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Marketing Strategy (Level 7) or equivalent
Applicants without a Level 7 Diploma but holding significant managerial experience will be considered for Advanced Entry on a case-by-case basis
A good command of English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent)
