About this Course
If you have an inquisitive mind and want to develop a scientific understanding of the mind, brain, behaviour and experience, and the complex way they work together – then this Distance Learning BSc (Hons) Psychology (BPS) Degree course is the perfect choice for you.
You’ll start your Psychology Degree at Arden University with a thorough introduction to all the core topics within Psychology. Following this you will focus on understanding research methods, and developing statistical skills which will teach you how to design your own research projects to test and better understand established theory.
You’ll get the chance to engage with some contemporary debates through the key studies module – so you’ll develop a great range of skills as well as general ‘knowledge of Psychology’. Your skills will be further developed in your final year as you study modules on both quantitative and qualitative methods. The final piece of the puzzle is to apply these to a range of topics.
Arden University’s Psychology Degree is fully accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
This means that successful graduates obtaining at least a lower second class Honours Degree (2:2) will be eligible for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the BPS – the basic requirement to train as a professional Psychologist.
Whilst you are actively studying with Arden, we will cover the cost of your student membership with the BPS. This gives you access to a great range of additional resources to assist with your studies.
