Either through a 6-month full-time or 12-month part-time study route, using this MBA (Master’s Stage Award) you will be able to top-up your current qualification to a full Master of Business Administration degree by completing the dissertation stage.
This course can be completed through distance learning after the initial research methods training due to it being delivered as a part-taught provision.

The purpose of this module is to allow the student to carry out a self-managed piece of work that integrates the knowledge and skills acquired during the previous study within an employability and career development focused framework. It provides students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge to the analysis and resolution of the kinds of business and management problems that are encountered in developing a viable and business case. It also provides the opportunity for students to communicate proposed solutions and the underpinning rationale to an audience of peers, business professionals and academic mentors. Students will be able to choose from a number of potential scenarios, including: a proposal for the development of a new product or service within an employer organisation, proposal for an investment in new plant or equipment, product deletion or asset divestment and company acquisition.
The purpose of this module is to allow the student to carry out a self-managed piece of work that integrates the knowledge and skills acquired during the previous study within an employability and career development focused framework. It provides students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills to the development of a business plan for the launch of a new business venture. It also provides the opportunity for students to communicate proposed solutions and the underpinning rationale to an audience of potential investors, peers, business professionals and academic mentors.
The purpose of the dissertation is to allow the student to carry out a self-managed piece of work that provides an in-depth investigation of an issue relevant to the field of management and business. The dissertation allows the student to critically evaluate and synthesise relevant business related philosophies, theories and models, undertake a process of enquiry using primary and/or secondary data sources and critically relate these academic concepts to a relevant area of business management activity. The dissertation allows for an analytical study of academic topics within the context of practical business decision making and can thereby contribute to the body of knowledge in the domain of management and business.
